If you really want to know all about it, here is the journalistic-like, fact-filled, detailed version of what happened. But would I offer something so mundane? (Sorry Mindy. Don't swat me. No, no, your blog is not mundane. C'mon! Joke! Lighten up!) I think not.
As some of you know already, zeno had shilled this place energetically to me, and persuasively enough to merit allotting some of my precious Mindy time to driving out and exploring it. To quote: If it doesn't confound you and if you don't leave the spot with a totally new view of life I will eat my shorts.
It could be TMI for me to know whether zeno would benefit from the additional dietary fiber that his shorts would surely provide. In any case, that won't be necessary because I was confounded, if confounded is a satisfactory way of saying disoriented and slightly nauseated, and I have been seized by a totally new view of life, which I will hereby contrast with the old:
Old View Of LifeNew View Of Life
Change is good!
Ha! $750K would only get you the slightly larger, 1600 square foot house on the next corner! And it doesn't have my charming crown moldings.
And you think you saw mayhem and opportunities for teasing and mild physical torments? I just left my 17 year old niece and her friend with three children all day long while I am at work, and the weather is cold, foggy, misty, and not at all conducive to the hours-long picnic in the park I promised them...

I have something to confide. A secret.
*My father lives in a house like that. In, yes, Belmont. Massachusetts. So glad that it's old you*
On the other hand. Welcome out of the dark side. Red Sox-wise.
Sounds like a wonderful strange visit.
:)

Wanna hear something weird? Mermaid Girl and I went out for a walk shortly after I read this post, and what did we see on a car parked just around the corner?
A MYSTERY SPOT BUMPERSTICKER.
I've never seen one before in my life.
It's calling me... it's caaaaaallllllllling meeeeeee.....
p.s. the Be Good Tanyas are the best. Or did I already say that in an earlier comment?

The littlest birds sing the prettiest songs, my dear. I am glad to have you back in my clutches, but if you ever get that house in San Jose, you better have a guest room with kitchenette, is all I'm sayin'.

Well the fact that my shorts are safe doesn't have anything to do with me being happy your world was turned topsy turby. It IS a fab place and I am glad you had fun... next stop, the electric brae!
