Born in 1964, Jilbur was raised by earthworms in New England. At the tender age of sixteen, she was appointed to an endowed chair of a prestigious university and lectured on ancient languages Pali, Hittite, and Old Icelandic. When course enrollment declined, she lost interest and moved on to work in various academic libraries and finish her undergraduate studies part-time. It was then that she met Howie, who had recently lost his job as Science Guy at PBS and was toiling at a dreary research position for a company famous for its innovations in instant photography. The two escaped to graduate school, had a daughter (the Jellybean), moved to the wild mid-Atlantic, and languished there for a number of years. Jilbur is now adjusting to her very recent diagnosis of ADD, which when you come to think of it explains a great deal.
