[Context: we had been discussing Friday's presidential candidates' debate ...]
Jellybean: Do you think John Kerry has a blog?
Me: What do you think a 'blog' is?
J: A place where you write about yourself? For people who live far away?
Me: Uh huh?
J: And a place where you show off!
Me: You think?
J: Yeah! and so that's why it would be a really good idea for John Kerry to have a blog--so he could show off how great he would be at being a President!
It's a little scary when a 6-year-old understands these things so much more clearly than most of the adults around her.... ;)

I knew I'd been talking about blogs too much when my 4-year-old said something funny the other day: I complimented her on it, she said in this smug, knowing way, "You can put that in your *blog*, mommy."
Maybe she and Jellybean can start a Kids of Bloggers support group.

I figure, if you have a blog, you can tell people you are a published author.
If you throw in a couple of adjectives like 'gifted' or 'brilliant', you'll feel like you can take on the world...
